Tea is, right after water, the most widely consumed beverage in the world!
"Tea" can either refer to the Chinese Camellia sinensis plant (or parts thereof), or the aromatic drink prepared from cured leaves and hot/boiling water. All teas are made from the same species of plant! The processing or growing method is what creates the varieties. The most common are: white, green, black & oolong.
It should be understood that "herbal tea", or tisane is a herbal infusion made from anything other than the leaves of the tea bush. The below benefits therefore only refer to the classic tea varieties: black tea, green tea and white tea.
